 Strong winds, lightning and flash flooding have combined to wreak havoc on homes in Sydney and the New South Wales Illawarra.
The storms swept through Sydney last night bringing down trees and cutting power lines everywhere from Wollongong, in the south, to Blacktown, in the west.
